Backflow During Irrigation

Endoscopic irrigation is crucial in helping to maintain a clear and better view. However, fluid travelling back to the water bottle could happen during the irrigation. Over the years, there are multiple reports to FDA about the backflow incidents during GI irrigation. FDA guidance recommends incorporating a backflow-prevention valve in irrigation systems to prevent backflow issues. *
